Portugal species

Blood orange or red orange is a type of orange whose flesh is blood-colored. This species is usually smaller than ordinary oranges

The red color of this orange is due to the presence of anthocyanin, which is a common pigment in flowers and fruits, but is rare in citrus. The skin of this orange is usually firmer than other types, and there is a dark color on the skin of some types of this orange.

Blood oranges are very useful for treating heart disease due to their high levels of anthocyanins. Blood oranges contain healing red pigments that scientists believe are good for treating many medical conditions, including obesity, heart disease, and even colon syndrome.
